CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 96 -152
PROVIDING SUPPORT TO "CREATING COMMUNITY", A
COLLABORATIVE EFFORT TO BUILD HEALTHIER NEIGHBORHOODS
PRIMARILY THROUGH INCREASED INTERNAL ASSETS, AND APPOINT A
LIAISON TO "CREATING COMMUNITY"
WHEREAS: the City of Lino Lakes desires to improve the health of its citizens and
neighborhoods, and
WHEREAS: Creating Community is an organization of citizens, community and
business leaders, churches and policy makers whose purpose is to improve
the health of our community, be encouraging every person to take
responsibility for the community's well being; building assets in our youth
to encourage them to be productive, caring citizens' and creating or
supporting community groups to accomplish goals identified by
community members, and
WHEREAS: Creating Community has requested the City of Lino Lakes to encourage,
support, and participate in their efforts to build healthier communities.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino
Lakes, Minnesota:
1. The City hereby supports the efforts of Creating Community to build
healthier communities and authorizes Creating Community to announce
support of the City.
2. The City appoints Pecchia, Asleson to serve as a liaison to
Creating Community.
Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council the 25th day of November, 1996.

The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
Member Neal and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Bergeson, Neal, Landers.
The following voted against same: None, Kuether and Lyden were absent.
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted.
