City of Lino Lakes
Resolution No. 97 - 30
PARK AND RECREATION BOARD GOALS/REFERENDUM
WHEREAS the City of Lino Lakes Park and Recreation Board each
year has reviewed the status of Parks and Recreation through work
sessions called goal -setting meetings
WHEREAS each year the Park and Recreation Board has reviewed the
needs of leisure services at these meetings and placed priorities
for projects based on the Parks and Recreation Comprehensive
Plan, changing demographics, and funding mechanisms available
WHEREAS the Goals for 1997 are completed and before the City
Council for consideration
WHEREAS one of these goals is consideration in concept to pursue
a Park and Recreation Bond Referendum for the residents of Lino
Lakes to consider
WHEREAS the funds from this referendum could be used to build and
enhance the City of Lino Lakes leisure opportunity for residents
such as trails, neighborhood parks, and athletic complex.
WHEREAS the citizens have recognized this need in the 20/20
vision exercise and through our most recent resident quality of
life survey
NOW BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lino Lakes supports the Park
Boards wish to pursue a Referendum for financing Parks and
Recreation.
I CERTIFY THAT the above resolution was adopted by the City
Council of Lino Lakes on March 10, 1997.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Council Member Neal and upon vote
being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson,
Kuether, Lyden, Neal, Landers.
The following voted against the same: None.
