HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-157 Council ResolutionCouncil Member Kuether_ introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 97-157 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING LIVABLE COMMUNITY GOALS WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has elected to participate in the Local Housing Incentives Account Program under the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act, and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act requires the Metropolitan Council to negotiate with each municipality to establish affordable and life -cycle housing goals for that municipality that are consistent with and promote the policies of the Metropolitan Council as provided in the adopted Metropolitan Development Guide; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes has accepted the following Goals for this community with the condition that these goals may be adjusted upon completion of the City's Comprehensive Plan: Affordability GOAL Ownership 68% Rental 15% Life -Cycle Type (non single family detached) 35% Owner/Renter Mix 75/25% Density Single Family 2.3 units/acre Multifamily 10 units/acre NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby adopts the above outlined Livable Community Goals for the City of Lino Lakes with the condition that said Goals may be renegotiated upon completion of the City's Comprehensive Plan. Anderson, Clerk/Treasurer The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Neal and upon voted being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, Kuether, Neal Landers. The following voted against same: Lyden Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
