HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-049 Council ResolutionCouncil Member Lyden _ adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved its CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 49 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - TOWN CENTER PARKWAY, PHASE TWO, STREET AND UTILITY CONSTRUCTION. WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Town Center Parkway, Phase 2, Street and Utility Construction, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Bid Amount S. R. Weidema, Inc. W. B. Miller Ryan Contracting Northdale Construction Kadlec Excavating Kober Excavating Penn Contracting $ 229,592.00 $ 239,041.95 $ 245,057.10 $ 255,664.24 $ 266,742.53 $ 271,027.14 $ 286,908.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that S. R Weidema, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with S. R. Weidema, Inc., 17600 113th Avenue North, Maple Grove, Minnesota 55369, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the Town Center Parkway, Phase 2, Street and Utility Construction according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 49 Page -2- 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Dahl and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favorthereof: Bergeson, Dahl, Lyden, Neal, Sullivan. The following voted against same: none. Whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted.
