CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 94
RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR MINNESOTA LAWFUL
GAMBLING EXEMPT PERMIT LG 220 TO PERMT RAFFLES AND TO
WAIVE THE 30 DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR THE LINO LAKES LIONS
CLUB INTERNATIONAL
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lion Club International have made request to the City of
Lino Lakes to conduct raffles, and
WHEREAS, the raffle event is proposed to be held at the VFW Post 6583, 7868 Lake
Drive, on Saturday, September 25, 1999, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires City of Lino Lakes to
acknowledge and approve an application for exempt permit 30 days prior to the
stated event, and
WHEREAS, on behalf of the City, the Council acknowledges this application and three
options for the city:
1. Approve the application: By taking no action, the city allows the
Board to issue a permit after 30 days.
2. Waive the above-mentioned waiting period: The city allows the
Board to issue a permit before 30 days.
3. Deny the application by passing a rejection resolution with in 30
days of the event.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby grants
authorization to approve the Lino Lakes Lions Club International Lawful Gambling
Application for Exempt Permit to conduct raffles at the above-mentioned location.
NOW, THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby grants
authorization to waive the 30 day waiting period (option 2), thus granting permission to
conduct raffles within 30 days of Saturday, September 25, 1999.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
Member Lyden and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Sullivan, Bergeson, Dahl, Lyden, Neal
The following voted against the same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
