I <br />b"I-1192- VON# <br />16*9 as y OKI) = I k3a <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-102 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATED FUNDS FROM THE LAKE ELMO <br />LIONS <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statues Section 465.03 provides that donations to the City <br />be accepted by resolution of the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is specifically authorized to accept gifts and bequests for the <br />benefit of recreational services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 471.17; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo Lions have proposed donating $20,000 to the City of <br />Lake Elmo for improvements at Lions Park including dugouts and batting cages; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo agrees that said <br />contribution would be of benefit to the citizens of Lake Elmo; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Lake Elmo, Minnesota, does hereby acknowledges and agrees to accept said donation of <br />$20,000 from the Lake Elmo Lions on behalf of the citizens of Lake Elmo. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo <br />designates the funds should be allocated only for improvements at Lions Park. <br />APPROVED by the Lake Elmo City Council on this Yd day of October, 2017, <br />ike P arson <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />
