CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />9MAGEEMEMMEMM <br />-xim-orco-r -rri-nom-C I, ?T �_b - C,1 <br />AND SUMMARY I <br />WHERE AS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elino has adopted Ordinance No. 08-166, <br />an ordinance to aniend Section 154.8ft Shoreland management Overlay District, of the City <br />Code-, and <br />WHEREAS, the ordinance is lengthy; and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and <br />surninary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the following suniniaty would clearly inform <br />the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake Ehno, <br />that the City Clerk sball cause the Rillowmig sumuiaiy of Ordinance No. 08-166 to be publishedmi <br />the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance- <br />amma= <br />• The Shoreland Classifications Table is inodified. <br />• The following waterbodies are removed: Minnesota Department of Natural Resources <br />(NINDNR) ID 82041900, 82041700, 82048400, <br />• MNDNR ID# 82010500 (Berschen's Pond) is added. <br />• Forest land conversion is added as a conditional use, and standards for this use are set forth. <br />• Changes were made to the Shoreland Standards Table 17-3, including increasing certain <br />minimum lot width, lot size, and structure setback standards; adding standards for lots <br />containing triplexes and quads; adding minimum. lot width standards for unsewered riparian <br />lots and nonriparian sewered and unsewered lots; and maximum structure height. <br />• Standards for lots intended as controlled accesses to public waters or as recreation areas for <br />use by owners of nonriparian lots within subdivisions were added. <br />• Restrictions on roads, driveways and parking area, as well as steep slopes, were added, <br />• Additional standards for Planned Unit Developments (PUDs) within the shorcland were <br />added. <br />
