V T nil F, MI V <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is currently accepting <br />candidate projects for the Fiscal Year 2021 Local Partnership Program (LPP), and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has identified a project which will deliver a benefit to both <br />the local community and the trunk highway system; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Project, the construction of an eastbound acceleration lane on Tel 36 extending <br />eastly fi-om Keats Avenue, will address an unsafe merging problem on the trunk highway system <br />that is of concern to the citizens of the City of Lake Elmo; and, <br />WHEREAS, they -City of Lake Elmo is committed to providing the local share of the Project costs <br />if the Project is selected as part of the FY 2021 Local Partnership Program; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo is committed to completing the Project if selected as part of <br />the FY 2021 Local Partnership Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, <br />1. That the Lake Elmo City Council, hereby adopts this Resolution, supporting the application <br />for funding from the Minnesota Department of Transportation through the FY 2021 Local <br />Partnership Program. <br />2. That if the Project, the construction of an eastbound acceleration lane on TH 36 extending <br />eastly from Keats Avenue, is selected for funding, the city shall provide the city's share of <br />funding and the city will be co-fittedto completing the Project by the end of 202 1. <br />ADOPTED BY THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL ON THE TWENTY-FIRST DAY OF <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />l3y:Z>--' <br />IMik�'Pe—arso—n <br />Mayor <br />
