CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF INNER TA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-049 <br />A RESOLUTION RE' STRICTING PARKING ALONG 32nd STREET NORTH, <br />EAST OF LAKE LMO AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo, Minnesota has adopted City Engineering <br />Standards that set parking standards for residential streets; and <br />WHEREAS, the City reconstructed 32nd Street east of Lake Elmo Avenue in 2018 <br />to a width of about 19 feet; and <br />WHEREAS, the residents along this part of 32 d Street have requested the City <br />allow parking on at least one side of the street; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed this request during their work session on <br />June 11, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council directed City staff to bring the matter back to the <br />Council with a recommendation and for possible formal action; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed this on -street parking request and is <br />recommending that if the City Council is going to allow parking on 32 nd Street North that <br />the City Council only allow parking on the north side of 32d Street North lying east of <br />Lake Elmo Avenue. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br />City of Lake Elmo shall ban the parking of motor vehicles on the south side of 32nd Street <br />North lying east of Lake Elmo Avenue and in and around the cul-de-sac at the cast end of <br />32nd Street North. <br />APPROVED by the Lake Elmo City Council on this 2d day of July, 2019 <br />-By <br />Mike Pearson <br />Mayor <br />
