CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-082 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATED MATERIALS AND SERVICES FOR <br />DUGOUTS AT LIONS BALL PARK <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statues Section 465.03 provides that donations to the City <br />be accepted by resolution of the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is specifically authorized to accept gifts and bequests for the <br />benefit of recreational services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 471.17; and <br />WHEREAS, citizens and businesses have donated over 800 hours of labor and <br />materials as described below in the completion of two dugouts at Lions Ball Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo agrees that said <br />contribution does benefit to the citizens of Lake Elmo and saved $93,1000 in park <br />dedication funds to be used elsewhere; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Lake Elmo, Minnesota, does hereby acknowledges and agrees to accept said donation of <br />the two dugouts on behalf of the citizens of Lake Elmo. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo <br />thanks the following individuals and businesses for their contributions; <br />Labor Volunteers: <br />• Hoagie Arndt <br />• Bryan Butter <br />• Chris Carvelli <br />• Dave Faint <br />• Steve Johnson <br />• Neil Ki ucger <br />• Jimmy Lohmann <br />• Aaron Runk <br />• Bob Taverna <br />• JeffThene <br />• Barry Weeks <br />• Dick Wier <br />• Jed Wier <br />Business Donations (materials): <br />• Cemstone (concrete) <br />• County Materials Corp (concrete block and mortar) <br />
