16 <br /> <br />i.j. the name of any street used in the City or its environs shall not be used <br />unless the proposed street is the logical extension of an already named <br />street, in which event the same name shall be used. The names and number <br />shall comply with the County Uniform Street Naming and Property <br />Numbering System, with the following exceptions: <br />i. Unless a newly proposed street directly extends from an existing street, no <br />street name that already exists in the City or its environs shall be used, <br />regardless if it is on the same grid as another street. <br />a. North-south avenues shall follow the grid system, increasing <br />alphabetically from east to west, but must use different names. <br />b. East-west streets shall follow the grid numbering system as <br />appropriate, but a different suffix such as Lane, Place, Way, etc. or a <br />different prefix such as Upper or Lower shall be used. <br />ii. The names of deflecting streets shall not vary; names of continual streets <br />shall not change, even if the street changes direction, unless an intersection <br />exists. <br />iii. The names of deflecting streets shall be determined according to their <br />relation to an Arterial or Collector Street if appropriate, otherwise such <br />names shall be determined according to their main point of entry in to a <br />development or as deemed appropriate by City Council. <br />iv. If appropriate, names with the same theme (i.e. flowers, nature) are <br />permitted for naming streets in an entire subdivision. <br />v. All street names shall end with the directional suffix of North. <br />b. Locations and widths of proposed alleys and pedestrian ways; <br />c. Locations and size of proposed sewer lines and water mains; <br />d. Layout, numbers, lot areas, and preliminary dimensions of lots and blocks; <br />e. Building pads shall be shown to demonstrate minimum front and side street <br />building setback lines; <br />f. When lots are located on a curve, the width of the lot at the building setback line <br />shall be shown; <br />g. Areas, other than streets, alleys, pedestrian ways, and utility easements intended <br />to be dedicated or reserved for public use, including the size of the area or areas in <br />acres. This shall include areas planned for trails and parks within the City; <br />h. Area calculations of lots, right-of-way, streets, public highways, alleys, parks and <br />public trails, wetland and wetland buffers and other features with accurate <br />dimensions; <br />i. Water mains shall be provided to serve the subdivision by extension of any <br />existing community system wherever feasible. Service connections shall be <br />stubbed into the property line and all necessary fire hydrants shall also be <br />provided. Extensions of the public water supply system shall be designed so as to
