SECTION 5. The City Council of the City of Lake Elmo hereby amends Chapter 154: <br />Zoning Code; Article VII: General Regulations; Section 154.212: Sign Regulations; Subd. <br />(H) (c) by amending the following: <br />c. Type of Sign. Any pennanent ground sign shall be erected as a monument sign. Pole signs are <br />prohibited unless the pole p011ion of the sign is enclosed in a shroud that causes the sign to appear to <br />have a monolithic base or suppo11 structure of any mate1ial measuring no less than one-third (1/3) of <br />the greatest width of the sign at any point or unless the height is no greater than three (3) feet. This <br />provision does not apply to signs erected on prope11ies located south of 5th Street and north of I-94. <br />The base of the monument sign shall not exceed the width of the widest po11ion of the sign face by <br />more than twenty-five percent (25%). <br />SECTION 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon <br />adoption and publication in the official newspaper of the City of Lake Elmo. <br />SECTION 6. Ado~tion Date.
