CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO.2022-018 <br />A RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />TO AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE <br />COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY (CSAH) 13 PHASE 2 <br />IMPROVEMENTS, FROM 800 FEET NORTH OF CSAH 14 (34TH <br />STREET) TO 44TH STREET <br />WHEREAS, Washington County intends to construct County State Aid Highway (CSAH) <br />13 (Ideal Avenue N.) from 800 feet north of CSAH 14 (34th Street N.) to 44th Street N. in the <br />Cities of Lake Elmo and Oakdale, herein referred to as the "Project"; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 6, 2020 the City Council adopted Resolution 2020-086, <br />approving Municipal Support for the preferred concept layout for the Project, dated May 6 2020, <br />also known as the turn lane alternative; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 17, 2021 the City Council adopted Resolution 2021-087 <br />approving Cooperative Agreement 14179 for the cost share in the Project between the City of <br />Lake Elmo, City of Oakdale and Washington County, with the Lake Elmo cost share in the <br />amount of $367,718, and approving Cooperative Maintenance Agreement 14180 to detail the <br />ownership and maintenance responsibilities for the constructed improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, Washington County received, opened, and tabulated bids, and is <br />recommending the award of a construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, Washington County has provided the City with an updated Post Bid Table <br />of Estimated Costs and Post Bid Exhibit B for Cooperative Agreement 14179 using actual <br />contractor pricing from the bid tabulation, and showing the City's Post Bid share in the Project <br />cost to be $377,475. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby concurs with Washington <br />County to award a construction contract. <br />ADOPTED BY THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL ON THE FIFTEENTH DAY OF <br />FEBRUARY, 2022. <br />(Seal) <br />ATTEST: <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />By: M� PC/Y1 <br />Charles adenhead <br />Mayor <br />
