CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022-053 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS WITH <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY FOR THE COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY (CSAH) 15 <br />AND 30TH STREET INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, Washington County intends to construct intersection improvements at County State <br />Aid Highway (CSAH) 15 (Manning Avenue N.) and 30th Street North, from 700 feet west of Manning <br />Avenue to 600 feet east of Manning Avenue in the City of Lake Elmo, Baytown Township and West <br />Lakeland Township, herein referred to as the "Project"; and <br />WHEREAS, the County, City, and Townships agree to share in certain local costs included in the <br />Project as detailed in the attached Cooperative Cost Share Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, upon completion of this project, the County, City, and Townships agree to their <br />respective ownership and maintenance responsibilities as identified in the attached Cooperative Maintenance <br />Agreement and attached Signal Maintenance Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, a cooperative effort between the County, City and Townships is the appropriate <br />method to facilitate the construction of these improvements, project cost sharing, and facilitate the <br />maintenance of the items constructed by the Project, including the operation and maintenance of the traffic <br />signal; and <br />WHEREAS, this Agreement is made pursuant to statutory authority contained in Minnesota Statute <br />162.17 sub.I and Minnesota Statute 471.59. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, <br />1. That Cooperative Agreement 14787 for the project costs of County State Aid Highway (CSAH) <br />15 (Manning Avenue N.) and 30th Street Intersection Improvements, between the City of Lake <br />Elmo and Washington County, is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Administrator are <br />hereby authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of Lake Elmo. <br />2.
