CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO.2022-072 <br />A RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH WASHINGTON COUNTY TO AWARD A <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY (CSAH) <br />15 AND 30TH STREET INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, Washington County intends to construct intersection improvements at County State <br />Aid Highway (CSAH) 15 (Manning Avenue N.) and 30th Street North, from 700 feet west of Manning <br />Avenue to 600 feet east of Manning Avenue in the City of Lake Elmo, Baytown Township and West <br />Lakeland Township, herein referred to as the "Project"; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 15, 2022 the City Council adopted Resolution 2022-024, approving <br />Municipal Support for the recommended Intersection Improvement Layout for the project, dated February <br />2, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 17, 2022 the City Council adopted Resolution 2022-047 approving <br />Cooperative Agreement.14787 for the cost share in the Project between the City of Lake Elmo, West <br />Lakeland Township, Baytown Township and Washington County, with the Lake Elmo cost share in the <br />amount of $496,570, and approving Cooperative Maintenance Agreement 14788 to detail the ownership <br />and maintenance responsibilities for the constructed improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 28, 2022, Washington County received, opened, and tabulated bids, and is <br />recommending the award of a construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, Washington County has provided the City with an updated Post Bid Table of <br />Estimated Costs and Post Bid Exhibit B for Cooperative Agreement 14787 using actual contractor pricing <br />from the bid tabulation, and showing the City's Post Bid estimated share in the Project cost to be <br />$726,917. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby concurs with Washington County <br />to award a construction contract. <br />ADOPTED BY THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL ON THE FIFTH DAY OF DULY, 2022. <br />(Seal) <br />ATTEST: <br />Julie o n, City C erk <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />7 <br />By: <br />arles Cadenhead <br />Mayor <br />
