Mini Park <br />Purpose <br />o Serves a concentrated population or preserves a unique point of interest. <br />o Mini Parks may be developed to augment the parks system for a <br />concentrated population, such as a senior housing development, a <br />shopping area or an office complex. <br />o Mini Parks are used to preserve a unique natural, historic, cultural or <br />recreational point of interest that cannot otherwise be preserved within <br />another park type. <br />Service Area <br />and Location <br />o For Mini Parks serving a concentrated population, Service Area is a <br />quarter -mile distance or less. <br />o For Mini Parks preserving a unique point of interest, Service Area is <br />community -wide. <br />Size <br />c Less than three acres. <br />Facilities Menu <br />o Mini Parks are customized for the use of the concentrated population or <br />for the preservation of the unique feature. Mini Parks typically do not <br />require off street parking area dedicated only for park users.
