CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />COUNTY OF WASHINGTON <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 08-66 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAKE ELMO CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES BY <br />ESTABLISHING LANDSCAPING STANDARDS TO MAINTAIN MINIMUM REQUIREMNETS <br />FOR PROPERTY MAINTENANCE IN LAKE ELMO, MINNESOTA. <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Lake Elmo hereby amends Title XV: <br />Land Usage; Chapter 150: General Provisions, by adding the following language: <br />5150.76 TURF ESTABLISHED. Turf must be established by the use of grass seed or sod <br />on all lots, with -in sixty (60) days of the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy, <br />excluding the time between October 1st and May 1st. Turf must be established on all <br />new developed lots by July 1st, 2013. Alternate landscape plans, other than turf, shall <br />be approved by city staff prior to installation. <br />5150.77 COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE. All <br />commercial/industrial properties shall maintain trees shrubs, landscaping, parking <br />lots, and exterior signage. Dead trees and shrubs are to be replaced with -in (4) <br />months of notice. <br />5150.78 CONSERVATION OF VEGETATION. No person shall make any unauthorized use <br />of any public site or open space which is detrimental to the turf and or soil <br />conditions. <br />SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon <br />adoption and publication in the official newspaper of the City of Lake Elmo. <br />SECTION 3. Adoption Date.
