CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />COUNTY OF WASHINGTON <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 08-082 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />THE LAKE ELMO CITY CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES BY <br />ADOPTING NEW SIGNAGE <br />REGULATIONS IN THE LAKE <br />ELMO ZONING CODE. <br />Section 1: Ordinance 08-078 The <br />City Council of the City of Lake <br />Elmo has adopted Ordinance No. <br />08-082, which replaces the current <br />sections of the City Code <br />pertaining to Signage <br />Regulations. The revised <br />ordinance includes the following <br />revisions from the previous <br />ordinance: <br />• The establishment of different <br />procedural and administrative <br />elements of addressing signage in <br />the community; <br />• The inclusion of basic design <br />considerations for signage in the <br />community; <br />• The establishment of standards <br />related to location of signage to <br />ensure safe and reasonable use of <br />signage; and <br />• The establishment of different <br />allowances for signage types and <br />sizes according to location of <br />signage and applicable land use <br />or zoning; <br />The full text of Ordinance No. 08- <br />082 is available for inspection at <br />Lake Elmo city hall during regular <br />business hours. <br />Section 2: Effective Date: This <br />ordinance shall become effective <br />immediately upon adoption and <br />publication. <br />ADOPTION DATE: Passed by the <br />Lake Elmo City Council on the 18th <br />day of June, 2013. <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />/at Mike Pearson, Mayor <br />Attest: /a/ Adam Bell, City Clerk <br />(Oakdale -Lake Elmo Review: June <br />26, 2013) <br />
