CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />COUNTY OF WASHINGTON <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 08-087 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE <br />LAKE ELMO CITY CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES BY ADOPTING <br />NEW LANDSCAPE <br />REQUIREMENTS IN THE LAKE <br />ELMO ZONING CODE. <br />Section 1. Ordinance 08-087 The <br />City Council of the City of Lake <br />Elmo has adopted Ordinance No. <br />08-087, which replaces the current <br />sections of the City Code <br />pertaining to Landscape <br />Requirements. The ordinance <br />includes the following provisions. <br />• The ordinance establishes base <br />sizes of allowed plant materials, <br />which are consistent with the <br />recommendations of the <br />American Standards for Nursery <br />Stock. <br />• The ordinance establishes the <br />required number of tree plantings for <br />setback and boulevard areas within <br />proposed developments. <br />• The ordinance establishes <br />landscaping requirements for the <br />perimeter and interior of parking <br />areas. <br />• The ordinance establishes the <br />process by which required <br />screening is achieved. <br />• The ordinance requires a <br />financial security to be posted to <br />ensure performance of all <br />approved landscape plan. <br />The full text of Ordinance No. 08- <br />087 is available for inspection at <br />Lake Elmo city hall during regular <br />business hours. <br />Section 2• Effective Date: This <br />ordinance shall become effective <br />immediately upon adoption and <br />publication. <br />ADOPTION DATE: Passed by the <br />Lake Elmo City Council on the 20th <br />day of August, 2013. <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />/s/ Mike Pearson, Mayor <br />Attest: /s/ Adam Bell, City Clerk <br />(Oakdale -Lake Elmo Review: Aug. <br />28, 2013) <br />
