CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />COUNTY OF WASHINGTON <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 08-077 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE <br />LAKE ELMO CITY CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES BY ADOPTING <br />TREE PRESERVATION <br />STANDARDS FOR ALL <br />DEVELOPMENT AND MAJOR <br />GRADING ACTIVITIES. <br />Section 1: Ordinance 08-077: The <br />City Council of the City of Lake <br />Elmo has adopted Ordinance No. <br />08-077, which requires certain <br />measures of tree preservation <br />within development and major <br />grading activities, including the <br />following: <br />• Property owners or applicants <br />engaging in development, <br />subdivision or major grading <br />activities must submit a Tree <br />Preservation Plan; <br />• Property owners or applicants <br />are allowed to remove up to 30% <br />of the diameter inches of <br />significant trees without requiring <br />tree replacement. <br />- When tree replacement is <br />required, property owners or <br />applicants must follow the Tree <br />Replacement Schedule to <br />calculate the required amount of <br />replacement trees. <br />The full text of Ordinance No. 08- <br />077 is available for inspection at <br />Lake Elmo city hall during regular <br />business hours. <br />Section 2• Effective Date; This <br />ordinance becomes effective after <br />the date of its summary publication. <br />ADOPTION DATE: Adopted by <br />Lake Elmo City Council on the <br />seventh day of May 2013. <br />Ayes: 5 <br />Nays: 0 <br />/s/Mike Pearson, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />/s/Adam Bell, City Clerk <br />(Oakdale -Lake Elmo Review: June <br />5, 2013) <br />
