Manufactured Home <br />Park Owners s a a opt regulations relating <br />to the use and maintenance of storm shelters. <br />A copy of the regulations or any amendments <br />thereto shall be kept on file with the Lake Elmo <br />City Administrator, the Lake Elmo Civil De. <br />fense Director, the Fire Chief of the Lake Elmo <br />Volunteer Fire Department, and the Washing- <br />ton County Sheriff's Department. The regula- <br />tions shall address the following minimum con- <br />cerns: <br />A. Maintenance of Shelters. The regula- <br />tions shall include a routine mainte- <br />nance schedule in order to control <br />vandalism and maintain the shelters in <br />a sanitary and safe manner. During <br />the storm season, shelters shall be <br />checked at least once during each <br />business day by a representative of <br />the Manufactured Home Park Owners. <br />As used herein, storm season means <br />the period between April 1st and Sep- <br />tember 15th of each year. <br />B. Shelter Access Map. An access map il- <br />lustrating the most convenient route <br />from an individual manufactured home <br />to a designated storm shelter shall be <br />disseminated in the following manner: <br />1. A copy shall be delivered to each <br />Manufactured Home Owner within <br />the Park. <br />2�. A copy shall be included with the <br />Park "move -in" information pack- <br />ets for each new tenant. <br />' 3. Copies shall be posted on any Man- <br />ufactured Home Park community <br />bulletin board. <br />4. A copy shall be posted in the club <br />house of the golf facility at the <br />Manufactured Home Park. <br />E}_EANOR E. NIG 5. Storm shelter drills <br />WASshall e con -ducted at a reasonable <br />My Corrvnias*n Expires .Jul time in the spring of each year prior to <br />the storm season. The Lake Elmo Civil <br />Defense Director and the Fire Chief of <br />the Lake Elmo Volunteer Fire Depart- <br />ment shall be given 72 hours advance <br />notice of any proposed storm shelter <br />drill. The Manufactured Home Park <br />Owner shall include within their regula- <br />tions relating to storm shelter drills any <br />recommendations of the Lake Elmo <br />Civil Defense Director and/or the Fire <br />Chief of the Lake Elmo Volunteer Fire <br />Department. <br />D. Periodic Review. On an annual basis, <br />anu acture ome Park Owners <br />shall solicit comments from Manufac- <br />tured Home Park residents and the <br />Lake Elmo City Administrator regard- <br />ing the effectiveness of current storm <br />shelter regulations or proposals for <br />changes to such regulations. <br />Effective Date. This ordinance shall be effec- <br />tive the day following its publication. <br />Adoption Date.
