CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006- 1 q5- <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 88-5 <br />GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO THE OAKDALE GUN CLUB FOR AN OUTDOOR TARGET RANGE <br />IN THE AGRICULTURAL ZONING DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 88-5, the Oakdale Gun Club received approval <br />for a Conditional Use Permit to operate an Outdoor Target Range located at 10386 N. <br />loth Street, <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 9Q-58, the Oakdale Gun Club received approval <br />for an amendment to allow construction of a caretaker residence and storage building, <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2005-111, the Oakdale Gun Club received <br />approval for an amendment to allow construction of an expansion to an existing storage <br />building, <br />WHEREAS, the Oakdale Gun Club has applied for an amendment to the existing <br />Conditional Use Permit, <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has submitted all the required documentation and fees <br />for the application of such expansion of use for the existing Conditional Use Permit; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo Planning Commission held a public hearing on <br />December 11, 2006 on the application for an amendment to the Conditional Use Permit <br />to allow construction of a 575 square foot storage building, based on plans staff dated <br />November 13, 2006; and recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit <br />amendment based on the following findings: <br />1. The proposed CUP amendment will not result in additional impact on the <br />public health, safety, morals or general welfare of surrounding property. <br />Operations of the gun club will not be altered as a result of the CUP <br />amendment. <br />2. Traffic impacts of the use will not change as a result of the CUP amendment. <br />3. Effect on public utilities and school capacity are not applicable. <br />4. There will be minimal changes in visual impact of the use. <br />5. The amendment has no impact on the Comprehensive Plan. <br />
