The fire lanes shall be designated <br />by appropriate signs indicating "no parking - fire lane" or words of similar import. <br />b.The city shall erect and maintain the signs on public property. The owner of <br />private property shall erect and maintain the signs on owner's property at owner's <br />expense within 30 days after notification of the establishment of a fire lane. <br />(2)After appropriate signs have been erected, no person shall park a vehicle or otherwise <br />occupy or obstruct a fire lane. <br />(b)Parking term. No person shall park or permit any vehicle to stand upon any highway, street, <br />alley, or any other public property in the city for more than 48 consecutive hours. <br />(c)Trailers. The provisions of this section shall apply to the parking of trailers as well as vehicles. <br />HISTORY <br />Adopted by Ord. 08-253 on 11/3/2021 <br />7.12.020 Temporary Parking Permit <br />(a)An owner who resides adjacent to a posted "No Parking" zone may obtain up to two temporary <br />parking permits per calendar year for a special non-business or social event (including, but not <br />limited to, weddings, birthday parties, family reunions, bar mitzvahs, confirmations, first <br />communions, fraternal gatherings, holiday gatherings, and the like) by making application to the <br />city administrator at least three working days before the date of special event. <br />(b)A temporary parking permit shall allow for parking of residential passenger vehicles within a "No <br />Parking" zone for a period not to exceed 24 consecutive hours. <br />(c)The city administrator shall notify the county sheriff before issuing a temporary parking permit <br />and shall arrange to have the posted "No Parking" signs covered during the period described in <br />the permit. <br />HISTORY <br />Adopted by Ord. 08-253 on 11/3/2021 <br />7.12.030 Winter Parking
