CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MILANES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-027 <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statues Section 465.03 provides that donations to the City <br />be accepted by resolution of the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Reid park is in need of improvements for both safety and aesthetic <br />reasons; and <br />WHEREAS, Lake Elmo Baseball Association is offering a donation of $35,000 to <br />help with the improvements at Reid Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parks Commission has recommend the improvements, excluding <br />the purchasing of bases and pitching mound; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parks Comn-fission has recornmended the proposed <br />improvements be made in the 2024 season; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parks Commission has recommended reservations of the field <br />following the upgrades follow existing City policy; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo agrees that said <br />contribution would be of benefit to the citizens of Lake Elmo. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Lake Elmo, Minnesota, does hereby acknowledges and agrees to accept said donation of <br />$35,000 from the Lake Elmo Baseball Association on behalf of the citizens of Lake Elmo <br />and hereby arnends the 2024 General Fund -- Parks & Recreation Budget by said amount. <br />APPROVED by the Lake Elmo City Council on this 6"' day of March, 2024. <br />By - <br />Charles Cadenhead <br />Mayor <br />REST: <br />I< <br />Jul' Job so <br />t v <br />y ClIer <br />
