7 <br /> <br />To Deny: <br />The City Council should make a motion to deny the requests of the Stillwater Area School <br />District, and direct staff to bring a resolution for denial to the Council’s next regular meeting. <br /> <br />Example Motion: <br />“Motion to deny the requests by Stillwater Area School District, with the findings <br />discussed by the City Council and Planning Commission, and to direct staff to bring a <br />resolution for denial to the Council’s next regular meeting on March 19, 2024. <br /> <br />To Approve: <br />The City Council should use example motions provided by staff below. It is possible to approve <br />one Comprehensive Plan Amendment request but not the other. <br /> <br />Example Motions: <br />“Move to adopt Resolution 2024-029 conditionally approving the Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment requests by ISD 834, Stillwater Area Public Schools, to the City’s Future Land <br />Use Map for the subject property.” <br /> <br />And <br /> <br />“Move to adopt Resolution 2024-031 conditionally approving the Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment requests by ISD 834, Stillwater Area Public Schools, to the revise the City’s <br />MUSA Boundary for the subject property.” <br /> <br />And <br /> <br />“Move to adopt Ordinance 2024-07 approving the request by ISD 834, Stillwater Area <br />Public Schools, to rezone the subject property from Agriculture to Public Facilities.” <br /> <br />And <br /> <br />“Move to adopt Resolution 2024-030 approving summary publication of Ordinance 2024- <br />07.” <br /> <br />If the City approves the School District’s Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezoning requests <br />and the project does not materialize, staff suggest the City initiate a process to re-guide the <br />property back to the existing land use guidance.
