Page 2 Two units were demo-ed and quoted off the State Contract Pricing; one 2024 Demo unit from Flexible Pipe Tools & Equipment that is available immediately, and a new 2025 unit from McQueen Equipment that would have to be ordered and built in 2025 . Staff recommends the 2024 demo unit from Flexible Pipe Tools and Equipment as it is currently available, is substantially lower in cost, has a larger debris body, larger blower, more user friendly tool boxes and pipe storage and will meet the department’s needs for the next 12 years. Approval to dispose of the 2006 Ditchwitch Vac trailer is also requested FISCAL IMPACT: Purchase of this unit will exceed the budgeted $300,000 that is included in the 2024 CIP. The purchase of this unit will be funded from the Water, Sewer and Storm sewer accounts that currently retain over $16 million in cash and investments. Disposal of the current Vac trailer is expected to revenue over $10,000 which will help offset some of the cost.
