The applicant is not <br />proposing to expand the use and would meet the proposed text amendment requirements. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the requests at their March 11th, 2024, meeting. The <br />Commission voted to recommend approval of the comprehensive plan amendment, that motion <br />failed (Vote 2-3). The descending Commission members did not feel the need to process the <br />removal of the Ag Preserve at this time. They felt the property should maintain its preserve <br />guidance. The Commission voted to recommend approval of the zoning text amendment, that <br />motion passed (Vote 3-2). <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />There is no fiscal impact to the City at this time. Sites that may develop with the proposed use <br />would be required to conform to applicable standards, with infrastructure connections made at the <br />expense of an Applicant. <br /> <br />OPTIONS: <br />• Approve the proposed amendments. <br />• Amend the proposed amendments. <br />• Deny the proposed amendments. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff suggest the City Council approve the Comprehensive Plan Amendment to reflect that the <br />property is no longer in the Agricultural Preserve Program. Staff suggest the City Council approve <br />the zoning text amendments as amended by Staff.
