Lake Elmo Parks System Plan
72 / 79
265 Updated equipment 11/21/2023 8:54 PM
266 creating safe bike/walking trail networks throughout the city 11/21/2023 4:16 PM
267 Lake Elmo Park Reserve entrance from downtown Lake Elmo.11/21/2023 4:13 PM
268 Parking at carriage park 11/21/2023 1:29 PM
269 Bike and walking trails connecting multiple neighborhoods and parks 11/21/2023 1:08 PM
270 Stop developments … add more walking/bike trials connecting to down town lake Elmo or
Stillwater.
11/21/2023 1:03 PM
271 work to connect the trails better and keep them clear in the winter.11/21/2023 12:34 PM
272 Biggest impact (but likely hard to accomplish) - plan for community park with plenty of multi-
use fields and ideally hiking/biking/walking trails, other park opportunities for all ages too! (i.e.,
some examples include: Hoffman Park in River Falls, MHealth Fairv iew Sports Center in
Woodbury, Kaposia Landing in South St Paul) Also big impact (but likely easier to accomplish):
Connect Lions Park (and downtown area) to Sunfish Lake Park via a trail system which keeps
users OFF of Stillwater Blvd. (would be SO ideal if the connection also encircled Sunfish Lake
itself!!!) Also big impact (and uncertain of ability to accomplish) - preserve the (largely
forested) green space area to the east of Lake Elmo lake bordered by Lake Elmo Ave N, Royal
Blvd N, 20th St N (or maybe even continuing north to 24th St/Legion Ave N borders) - add
hiking trails and make the area publicly accessible open-space which would be more
accessible esp. to Lake Elmo's residents in the southeast which doesn't have a lot of city
parks.
11/20/2023 9:32 PM
273 Bike Trails that connect parks/open space.11/20/2023 11:39 AM
274 Lack of plowing/snow removal on paved trails and lack of crosswalks on bust main roads. 11/20/2023 10:38 AM
275 Location of Porta potty at Pilot Park, closer to the park on the main path. Mostly used by
workers. Trucks fly though the park almost hitting kids crossing to the park from houses. Add
mulch!!
11/20/2023 9:43 AM
276 Ice rink at pilot park/pickleball court 11/19/2023 4:32 PM
277 Safe pedestrian connections to parks and trails 11/19/2023 2:28 PM
278 Dog poop bags available. Sometimes my dog poops twice on a walk and it’s embarrassing
when I run out of bags.
11/19/2023 11:07 AM
279 More walking/biking paths in the city, especially along Manning Ave. Connectivity with paved
trails is so important in a growing city with young kids.
11/19/2023 8:55 AM
280 Develop parks that me et the ever changing needs of the community and stop letting
developers build parks. Be progressive in planning and put parks as a priority
11/18/2023 1:09 PM
281 #1 Restore, safe, accessible walking loop at Sunfish Lake Nature Preserve by the parking lot.
#2 Lions Park needs a open shelter and trees by the children's playground.
11/18/2023 11:10 AM
282 More PickleBall courts for myself. Ball complex for the community.11/18/2023 11:06 AM
283 Trail access between Goose Lake park and Lake Elmo Park Reserve on west side of Keats,
so I don’t have to cross bust road without any stoplight or path
11/18/2023 10:47 AM
284 Paved bike trails are one of the biggest reasons why we moved into the metro area. A trail
along Stillwater Blvd, from downtown to Sunfish Lake park.
11/18/2023 8:32 AM
285 Safe walking trail alon g east side of lake elmo 11/17/2023 10:06 PM
286 Basketball court to ivywood park, please good sir/ma'am 11/17/2023 10:01 PM
287 Remove the bike trails from Sunfish Lake Park.11/17/2023 8:01 PM
288 Add basketball court to Ivywood Park 11/17/2023 5:25 PM
289 More options for shade, like sunshades or pavilions.11/17/2023 3:47 PM
290 Open back up the warning house at lions and more the rink to where it used to be .11/16/2023 1:07 PM
188
