LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> August 7, 2024 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />8. Approve Release of Security for Savona 3rd Addition <br />9. Approve MPCA Grant Agreement Amendment for South Area Production Wells <br /> Councilmember Dragisich, seconded by Councilmember Hirn, moved TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS PRESENTED. Motion passed 3 - 0. ITEM 10: Zoning Text Amendment Sign Regulations Community Development Director Stopa presented proposed amendments to the city’s sign regulations to update the regulations, create signage subdistricts and correct conflicting or outdated <br />references. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hirn, seconded by Councilmember Dragisich, moved TO ADOPT <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2024-13, AMENDING CHAPTER105.12.430 SIGN REGULATIONS AS <br />PRESENTED. Motion passed 3 – 0. COUNCIL REPORTS <br />Mayor Cadenhead: Commended resident Molly Brendemoen for her work on the Night to Unite <br />event. Reported on ribbon cutting event for the Lake Elmo Inn’s new restaurant in St. Paul. <br />Councilmember Dragisich: Requested a discussion of right of way management on a future Council worksession. <br />Councilmember Hirn: Commented on the Night to Unite event and the MPCA PFAS meeting. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />City Clerk Johnson: Provided election reminders and noted a park naming survey is available on the city’s website. <br />Fire Chief Kalis: Noted the Fire Department is still recruiting Firefighters and noted the upcoming open house in the fall. <br />City Engineer Griffin: Reported construction on 15th Street has started and will last 3-4 weeks. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m. <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: ______________________________ Charles Cadenhead, Mayor _______________________________ Julie Johnson, City Clerk
