Motion passed 5 – 0. <br />ITEM 17: Approve Well 2 Equipment Procurement Plans and Specifications and <br />Authorize Ad for Bids <br />City Engineer Griffin presented the project schedule, location map and an overview of the <br />proposed equipment. <br />Councilmember Holtz, seconded by Councilmember Hirn, MOVED TO APPROVE <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-100, APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND <br />ORDERING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE WELL 2 PFAS REMOVAL <br />EQUIPMENT. Motion passed 5 – 0. <br />ITEM 18: Preliminary 2025 Budget and Tax Levy <br />Finance Director Hadler presented a review of revenue and expenditures, preliminary tax levy and <br />capital funds. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dragisich, seconded by Councilmember Holtz, moved TO APPROVE <br />RESOLUTION 2024-099 APPROVING 2025 PRELIMINARY GENERAL FUND BUDGET, <br />2025 PRELIMINARY PROPERTY TAX LEVY, AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING DATE <br />FOR THE 2025 BUDGET AND 2025 PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR TUESDAY DECEMBER <br />17, 2024 AT 7:00 P.M. Motion passed 5 – 0. <br /> <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />Councilmember Dragisich: Commented on infrastructure planning and thanked staff for <br />providing information on the topic. <br />Councilmember Holtz: Reported on the Lake Elmo Airport open house and November White <br />Bear Lake water group meeting. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />City Administrator Miller: Attended the Lake Elmo Rotary meeting. <br />Fire Chief Kalis: Noted the upcoming Fire Department Open House and Paid on Call <br />Firefighter application deadline on September 30th. <br />Public Works Director Powers: Reported on storm clean up, noting that stump griding will <br />begin soon. Also reported on volleyball courts recently completed in Easton Village and <br />Carriage Station parks. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:53 p.m.
