CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO.2023-127 <br />A RESOLUTION ALLOWING RESIDENT PARKING ALONG 34TH STREET <br />NORTH, WEST OF LAKE ELMO AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo, Minnesota has adopted City Engineering <br />Standards that set parking standards for residential streets; and <br />WHEREAS, the City reconstructed 34' Street West of Lake Elmo Avenue in <br />2024 to a width of 24 feet; and <br />WHEREAS, the residents along this part of 34`h Street have requested the City <br />allow parking on at least one side of the street; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed this on -street parking request and is <br />recommending that if the City Council is going to allow parking on 341h Street North that <br />the City Council only allow resident parking on the north side of 30 Street North lying <br />west of Lake Elmo Avenue. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br />City of Lake Elmo shall allow resident parking of motor vehicles on the north side of 34 h <br />Street North lying west of Lake Elmo Avenue, not including the cul-de-sac at the west <br />end of 34th Street North. <br />APPROVED by the Lake Elmo City Council on this 5`' day of December, 2023 <br />By: <br />Charles Cadenhead <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />in ie J hnson <br />Ci lerk <br />
