The draft ordinance adopts the <br />highest fee permitted which is $500 (and sometimes less) for initial registration, and $1000 (and <br />sometimes less) for renewal. State law allows for the first renewal to be made without a fee. <br /> <br />Application Procedure: The City will create a form and applicants will need to supply all required <br />information. The City will require certification that the business is compliant with zoning <br />standards. Where the retail business operation requires Conditional Use Permit, the City will not <br />issue its registration unless or until the business has received approval of a CUP. <br /> <br />Annual Compliance Checks: State law requires the City to perform compliance checks on <br />registered retailers. This includes age verification compliance checks by individuals, in <br />coordination with law enforcement, that are between the age of 17 and 21 who attempt to purchase <br />products. <br />
