WAGE NONDISCLOSURE #141 <br /> <br /> <br />The city complies with the Minnesota law that prohibits restricting any employee’s ability to disclose <br />their wages, retaliating against any employee for disclosing their wages, or discussing another <br />employee’s wages that were disclosed voluntarily. <br /> <br />However, we will discipline, up to and including termination, any employee who gains unauthorized <br />access to another employee’s private financial data. <br /> <br />Management encourages you to discuss your compensation with the administrative services director <br />and/or your direct supervisor. It is our policy to pay wages and salaries that are competitive with those <br />paid for similar jobs in our surrounding area. We maintain the accuracy of our wage and salary structure <br />by periodically checking what the competition pays. We also comply with the business and general <br />economic conditions of the industry. <br />
