STAFF REPORT <br />DATE: December 17, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM: 2025-2034 Capital Improvement Program <br />TO: City Council <br />SUBMITTED BY: Clarissa Hadler, Finance Director <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Beginning this spring staff started developing recommendations for updates to the 2025-2034 <br />Capital Improvement Program (CIP) working in consultation with the Parks Commission. <br />Council reviewed it briefly at their August budget work session. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the 2025-2034 CIP at their November 13, <br />2024 meeting. There were no public comments at the meeting or written comments received <br />prior. The Planning Commission voted 4-0 to find the CIP consistent with the 2040 <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />ISSUE BEFORE COMMISSION: <br />Should Council approve the 2024-2033 Capital Improvement Program? <br /> <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: <br />A copy of the 2025-2034 CIP is included in your packet. It includes projects that cost at least <br />$25,000 and have a useful life span of five years or longer. Projects are prioritized and funding <br />sources are identified. <br /> <br />The 2025-2034 CIP includes 149 projects with a total estimated cost of $162,622,00. These <br />projects include street work, vehicles and equipment (fire, public works, parks and utilities), park <br />and trail improvements, and utility infrastructure. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The total estimated costs of all the projects is $162,622,000.
