Check out our first Wonder <br />Wednesday session, “Prairie Day,” on June 11. Our one-day, fun- <br />filled, Wonder Wednesdays let kids explore the beautiful outdoor <br />setting and learn about their surrounding environment. It is run by <br />experienced instructors and the days include interpretive education, <br />games, crafts to bring home, free play and hikes. <br />This session is for campers aged 7 – 10 <br />Campers will learn the importance of the prairies and all the <br />critters that depend on it. <br />They will adventure through the tallgrass and along the way <br />will learn about the important plants that make up a prairie. <br />Wonder Wednesday sessions are from 9 a.m. <br />​Cost: $100 per camper, per session. <br />​Sally Manzara Interpretive Nature Center <br />REMINDER: NEW TIME FOR LAKE ELMO KIDS 4th OF <br />JULY PARADE <br />Mark your calendars for this time change! This year, the Lake Elmo <br />4th of July Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 4th, 2025. <br />This year's parade marks the 37th anniversary of the Lake Elmo Kids <br />4th of July Parade. The parade began with a handful of children <br />marching up Lake Elmo Avenue to celebrate our independence and <br />has since expanded to include over 1,000 kids of all ages. <br />Connect Lake Elmo is proud to uphold this special tradition in <br />collaboration with the Lake Elmo Rotary, the City of Lake Elmo, the <br />Lake Elmo Fire Department, the Washington County Sheriff's Office, <br />and other community members.
