In return, the same support <br />is received when requested. Mainly, aid is given and received for larger scale incidents, such as structure <br />fires. Lake Elmo has automatic aid agreements with neighboring fire departments for structure fires and <br />vehicle accidents along Highway 36 (Stillwater). <br />The fire department utilized aid agreements 85 times in 2024. <br />Of those 85 times, 38 were for instances of aid requested in Lake Elmo.
