This proposal has been prepared in response to your email request on May 9, 2025, <br />and describes our understanding of the project, our anticipated scope of services, our unit rates, <br />and an estimated total fee to perform these services. <br />PROJECT INFORMATION <br />The City of Lake Elmo (the City) will be performing a street and utility improvements project <br />during the 2025 construction season. Construction is anticipated to begin at the end of May and <br />be completed by October 3, 2025. The project area will include Village Parkway at the Union <br />Pacific Railroad Crossing. The project will be funded with municipal funds. <br /> <br />Plans and Specifications were prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. (SEH). We understand <br />Construction Inspection and Contract Management of the project will be performed by Bolton & <br />Menk, Inc. (BMI). <br />GEOTECHNICAL INFORMATION <br />A geotechnical exploration and analysis was performed for this project by Braun Intertec. The <br />results were presented in their Geotechnical Exploration and Laboratory Testing Report, dated <br />February 13, 2024 (Braun Project No. B2311740). In the report, the site soil profile is generalized <br />as fill underlain by sandy silt and lean clay with sand. Reference should be made to that report <br />for more details regarding site conditions and recommendations.
