INVENTORY AND CONDITION ASSESSMENT
1)City uses Goodpointe Technology and their ICON Pavement Management Software
Program to manage and maintain the street network inventory and condition ratings.
2)City wide inventory and condition ratings were completed in 2016 and in 2021.
3)Formalized Pavement Management Plan was approved by City Council in 2023, based
on the 2021 ratings projected through 2023.
4)One of the recommendations adopted in the 2023 PMP is to perform the pavement
condition assessment every 4 years to maintain current assessment data.
5)A detailed surface condition assessment identifies pavement distress type, quantity,
severity, and extent. The condition or PCI is then reported on a scale from 1 to 100.
6)The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) methodology is used nationwide and is endorsed
by the American Public Works Association (APWA) and has been standardized by the
American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM).
