4
Fall 2012
The new Lake Elmo Public Library
opened officially on September 7,
2012. Along with a large selection of
books, a computer lab and reading
room, free Wi-fi is also available as
well as a complimentary coffee ser-
vice during open hours, donated by
the Friends of the Lake Elmo Public
Library.
The library collection is growing
steadily. As of mid-September, there
were more than 3,600 books in the
collection, with new donations and
items to catalog coming in daily.
Donations are still being accepted
and can be dropped off at the library
building during open hours, or at
City Hall. There are specific needs
for children’s and teen books, espe-
cially non-fiction in those two areas.
We are also looking for DVDs and
audio books on CD. Current and
popular bestsellers are always ap-
preciated.
We have a story time on the 1st and
3rd Fridays of each month at 10:30
am. Pre-school age children and
families are welcome to attend.
The library will be hosting a few up-
coming events in October, check the
library website at lakeelmopublicli-
brary.org for more information.
The library is always looking for ea-
ger volunteers. If interested, please
stop by the library or city hall to pick
up an application.
Lake Elmo Public Library is now open!
A view of the children’s room in the new Lake Elmo Public Library, located at 3537 Lake Elmo Blvd. Children’s
story time is held on the first and third Friday of each month.
Library Hours:
Monday through Saturday 10am to 1pm
Tuesday and Thursday 5pm to 8pm
Library Address:
3537 Lake Elmo Blvd.
Book Donations:
Book contributions are welcomed and can
be dropped off at the library or City Hall
during business hours.
What you need to know
The Lake Elmo Library offers many resources
including the growing selection of young adult fiction,
pictured above.
We Want to Connect with You
The City is constantly looking for new ways
to connect with you!
