See attached Location Map. The street maintenance work <br />programmed in 2025 was reviewed jointly by Public Works and Engineering to confirm the work to be <br />completed. The project was advertised on QuestCDN and in the Stillwater Gazette in accordance with <br />Minnesota competitive bidding requirements. <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should the City Council accept bids and award a contract for the 2025 Seal <br />Coat Project? <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: Plans and specifications were completed for the 2025 Seal Coat <br />Project and contractor bids were received, publicly opened, and read aloud on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. <br />An Engineer’s Letter of Recommendation and a Tabulation of Bids has been prepared and attached. The <br />City received two bids for this project, with Pearson Bros, Inc. providing the lowest bid in the amount of <br />$236,813.60. Following review and verification of the bid tabulations, the City Engineer and Design <br />Engineer are recommending that the City Council award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, <br />Pearson Bros, Inc., as outlined in the attached letter. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this resolution commits the City to enter into a construction contract for <br />the project in the amount of $236,813.60. The project will be funded through the 2025 street maintenance <br />funds. <br />OPTIONS: <br />Accept the Bids and Award a Contract to Pearson Bros, Inc. <br />Do not move forward with this project
