EMPLOYEESPOTLIGHT <br />LAKE ELMO @ W A S H I N G T O N C O U N T Y S O @ W C S O M N F A C E B O O K .C O M /W C S O M N W W W .W C S O .I N F O <br />WELFARE FRAUD <br />DETECTIVE <br />Amber Valesano <br />Detective Amber Valesano <br />joined the Washington <br />County Sheriff’s Office in <br />2015 and is currently <br />assigned as a welfare fraud <br />investigator. <br /> <br />Prior to working in welfare <br />fraud, Amber held <br />assignments in general patrol <br />and our court security unit <br />and remains actively involved <br />in our Peer Support Team <br />and Community Engagement <br />Team. Amber also currently <br />serves as the <br />Secretary/Treasurer for the <br />Minnesota Fraud <br />Investigators Association <br />(MFIA). <br /> <br />Amber is married to a fellow <br />Washington County deputy <br />sheriff and the two enjoy <br />spending their time off with <br />family, making projects with <br />Amber’s 6-year-old son, and <br />playing with their nieces. <br />Honoring our WCSO Veterans... <br />This year the Washington County Sheriff’s Office <br />was honored to sponsor Burger Night for the Troops <br />on November 28th at the Hugo American Legion. <br />The Hugo Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Network hosts <br />a burger night each month with a variety of local <br />sponsors. The Sheriff’s Office was the November <br />sponsor. <br />While members of the BYRN are busy cooking and <br />supervising, Sheriff’s Office staff take orders and <br />deliver the meals to the patrons. It was a fun event <br />and we met many wonderful people showing their <br />support for our military service members and those <br />of us working in law enforcement. All money raised <br />goes to support military families, many of whom <br />have loved ones who are deployed. The event was <br />made more special as the Royal Court of the St. <br />Paul Winter Carnival stopped by visited with <br />everyone.
