STAFF REPORT <br />DATE: 3/21/2023 <br /> CONSENT <br /> <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Marty Powers, Public Works Director <br /> Dustin Kalis, Fire Chief <br /> John Taylor, Building Official <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM: Sale of Excess and Retired Equipment & Acquired Property <br />REVIEWED BY: Kristina Handt, City Administrator <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: With the acquisition of new equipment, excess equipment, other equipment that has reached the <br />end of its useful life, the Public Works, Fire and Building Departments have a surplus of assets that is no longer <br />operational or needed to conduct city services. <br /> <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should the City Council authorize staff to publicly advertise and sell excess and retired <br />city equipment and assets consistent with the City’s Purchasing Policy? <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT: Revenue generated by the sale of this equipment will be added to the Vehicle Replacement Fund <br />and the General Fund.
