CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 060 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 2026 PROPOSED GENERAL FUND BUDGET, 2026 <br />PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX LEVY, AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING DATE FOR <br />THE 2026 BUDGET AND 2026 PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR TUESDAY DECEMBER <br />16, 2025 AT 7:00 P.M. <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lake Elmo is required by State law to approve a resolution <br />setting forth an annual property tax levy to the Washington County Auditor; and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require approval of a proposed property tax levy and a <br />proposed budget on or before September 30th of each year; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received the Proposed budget document; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake <br />Elmo, that the Proposed 2026 Budget shall be as follows: <br />2026 <br />Proposed Budget <br />General Fund Revenues: <br />Property Taxes $ 6,300,000 <br />Licenses and Permit 1,022,995 <br />Intergovernmental 61,645 <br />Charges for Services 647,700 <br />Fines and Forfeits 30,000 <br />Interest on Investments 175,000 <br />Miscellaneous 334,950 <br />Total General Fund Revenues $ 8,572,291 <br />General Fund Expenditures: <br />General Government $ 2,194,477 <br />Public Safety 4,507,911 <br />Public Works 1,190,210 <br />Miscellaneous / Contingency 949,782 <br />Total General Fund Expenditures $ 8,842,380 <br />Budgeted Use of Fund Balance $ 270,089 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday <br />December 16, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, <br />Washington County, Minnesota, that the following sums of money be levied in 2025, for
