STAFF REPORT <br />DATE:September 16, 2025 <br />CONSENT <br />TO: Mayor and Councilmembers <br />FROM: City Clerk Julie Johnson <br />AGENDA ITEM: Accept Donation for the City’s Centennial Celebration <br />CORE STRATEGIES: <br />☒ Vibrant, inclusive, connected community ☐ Efficient, reliable, innovative services <br />☐ Responsive, transparent, adaptive governance ☐ Balanced Finances now and future <br />☐ Managed Growth ☐ Resilient Infrastructure <br />BACKGROUND: State statute requires that cities accept donations via resolution. <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should the Council accept donations of $500 each from Krueger <br />Tree Farm and Lake Elmo Bank? <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: The City will hold its Centennial Celebration on <br />September 13, 2025. As part of that event, the city will rent two inflatable bounce houses at a cost <br />of approximately $500 each. Krueger Tree Farm and Lake Elmo Bank have committed donations <br />to the city of $500 each to offset the cost of the inflatables. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: The donated funds will help offset the cost of the City’s Centennial <br />Celebration on September 13th. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1)Approve Resolution No 2025-063 <br />2)Amend and then Approve Resolution No 2025-063 <br />3)Do not accept the donations <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution 2025-063 accepting donations from Krueger Tree Farm and <br />Lake Elmo Bank. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution 2025-063
