It was a great <br />opportunity to evaluate the job description as currently written and make recommendations for <br />updating. <br /> <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: <br />Should the City Council approve job description change and begin recruitment for the Public <br />Works Director position? <br /> <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: <br />The job description was updated and refined to better align with the city’s current and future <br />operational needs. Specifically, the revised version places greater emphasis on higher level <br />supervision and planning. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />This position has been included in the 2026 budget. <br /> <br />OPTIONS: <br /> <br />1) Approve the updated job description for Public Works Director and begin recruitment for the <br />position. <br />2) Do not approve the updated job description for Public Works Director or recruitment for the <br />position at this time. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION:
