(7) Also, does the acceptance of the gift imply that the City will replace the gift when worn out, <br />destroyed by vandals, etc? If the gift is found to be no longer of use in the future, may the City at <br />that time, sell, dismantle or convert to another use? <br />(8) All agreements, prohibitions, etc, with respect to the gift should be noted in the minutes or <br />Memorandum of Agreement for future reference. <br /> <br />The Parks Commission reviewed the proposed donation on 10/20/2025. After discussion, the board was <br />divided on whether to accept all of the donated items. A motion was made to accept only the paddle racks <br />and drink racks at this time and discuss with the donor other recommendations to make the items more <br />permanent or from a reputable manufacture. The motion passed 4-3. <br /> <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />There are no financial obligations to the donation offered by the pickleball club. No additional exclusions <br />were made for future upkeep or removal of these items. Public Works staff will determine the lifespan of <br />these items in the future. <br /> <br />OPTIONS: <br />1) Approve the donation from the Lake Elmo Pickleball Friends to include: paddle and drink <br />racks. <br />2) Do not accept the donation. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends the following motion: <br /> “Move to approve the donation from the Lake Elmo Pickleball Friends to include a wooden paddle <br />and drink rack to be placed at Pebble.” <br /> <br />
