STAFF REPORT <br />DATE:November 18, 2025 <br />CONSENT <br />TO: Mayor and Councilmembers <br />FROM: Dustin Kalis, Fire Chief <br />ITEM: Donation to the Fire Department from The Fields at New Perspective <br /> <br />CORE STRATEGIES: <br />☒ Vibrant, inclusive, connected community ☐ Efficient, reliable, innovative services <br />☒ Responsive, transparent, adaptive governance ☒ Balanced Finances now and future <br />☐ Managed Growth <br />BACKGROUND: <br />State statute requires that cities accept donations via resolution. <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: <br />Should Council accept the donation of $466.00? <br />PROPOSAL: <br />The Fields at New Perspective presented the City with a donation of $466.00 for the Lake Elmo <br />Fire Department. Funds were collected as part of the Fire Department Open House and the offering <br />of mini doughnuts and Dole Whip provided by the Fields. Included in your packet for acceptance <br />as part of the Consent Agenda is a resolution for the Council to officially accept the donation. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />There is no impact to the 2025 budget as these funds were not anticipated. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1)Approve Resolution No 2025-076 <br />2)Amend and then Approve Resolution No 2025-076 <br />3)Do not accept the donation <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Motion to approve Resolution 2025-076 <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution 2025-076
