2 <br />LA515\1\1001336.v1 <br />•105.12.1210 <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />A public hearing was published in the City’s official newspaper on January 16th 2026. The <br />following written comments were received for the public hearing: <br />Mel Eder (Address NA)– Provided comments in support of the increase to 500’ but also suggests <br />further consideration for rural/larger parcels. <br />Joyce Kelch (4855 Keats Ave N)– Provided comments in support of the 500’ increase but <br />suggests consideration for increased mailings for rural areas, similar to West Lakeland or <br />Stillwater Township. Alos noted that they signed up for Push Notifications. <br />George Crocker and Lea Fousche (5093 Keats Ave N) – Provided comments in agreement with <br />the comments proved by Joyce Kelch. <br />Anne Boucheck (2301 Legion Ave N) – Provided comments in support of the increase to 500’ but <br />would like to see more being done. Also commented that they would like to see revisions to the <br />Fresh main page. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />The Planning Commission reviewed this text amendment at their January 26th 2026 meting. The <br />Commission voted to follow Staff’s recommended motion (Vote 5-0). <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />OPTIONS: <br />•Approve the proposed text amendments. <br />•Amend the proposed text amendments. <br />•Deny the proposed text amendments. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the City Council approve the proposed text amendment, as part of the consent <br />agenda.
