For certain development activity as specified in the Lake Elmo Design <br />Guidelines and Standards Manual, design review is required as part of the approval process for a <br />permit or certificate under this section. All projects subject to design review shall be reviewed for <br />conformance with the Lake Elmo Design Guidelines and Standards Manual and shall follow the <br />review procedures specified in LEC 105.12.830.840. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />A public hearing was published in the City’s official newspaper on January 16th, 2026. No public <br />comment has been received. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />The Planning Commission reviewed this request at their January 26th, 2026 meeting. The <br />Commission voted to recommend approval of the amendments as proposed by Staff (Vote 5-0). <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />OPTIONS: <br />•Approve the proposed amendments. <br />•Amend the proposed amendments. <br />•Deny the proposed amendments. <br />RECCOMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the City Council approve the proposed text amendments as part of the consent <br />agenda. If removed from the consent agenda, staff recommends the following motions:
