sustainability, and bring home a free tree for <br />your yard while supplies last. <br />*You must be a resident of Lake Elmo to <br />participate. <br />Tree Trimming <br />The City will be conducting tree trimming <br />operations next week to maintain public <br />safety and protect City infrastructure. <br />Tree trimming is required when branches <br />obstruct streetlights or traffic signs, block <br />emergency vehicle access, are diseased, or <br />present an imminent threat to property or <br />public safety. Maintaining proper clearance <br />helps ensure safe travel and reliable <br />emergency response throughout the <br />community. <br />Residents may notice crews working in their <br />area and are asked to use caution around <br />equipment and personnel. <br />DNR Reminder: ice fishing <br />house removal deadlines <br />As temperatures warm and ice conditions <br />change, please remember that all ice fishing <br />houses must be removed by the following <br />dates: <br />• 11:59 pm on March 2 for inland waters in the <br />southern 2/3 of the state <br />• 11:59 pm on March 16 for inland waters in the <br />northern 1/3 of the state <br />• 11:59 pm on March 31 for Minnesota - Canada <br />border waters, including Lake of the Woods <br />Removing ice houses by the deadline helps <br />ensure public safety and protects our lakes <br />as the ice begins to deteriorate. <br />Thank you for doing your part to keep <br />Minnesota's lakes safe. <br />Lake Elmo Planning <br />Commission vacancy, <br />applications now open <br />The City of Lake Elmo is accepting <br />applications for a Planning Commission <br />position beginning in March. <br />This volunteer role helps guide land use, <br />development, and long-range planning <br />
